About

Heywood & Co.

An advisory firm that is warm, sharp, and human. Built for leaders who want AI that changes how the work gets done.

Who we are

Heywood & Co is Adrian Heywood’s advisory firm, based in Greenville, South Carolina. The firm exists to help C-suite leaders, operators, and partners turn voice and AI from slideware into operating reality: clear scope, measurable pilots, and language people will actually use.

The wedge is voice AI as an operating layer. Capture intent, route work, update systems, and close the loop while people stay in the flow. That is where talk becomes action without waiting for a full platform rewrite.

The pedigree behind the practice

Before the AI work came years of building and leading channels, coaching senior teams, and designing high-stakes delivery. That includes standing up WorldCom UK’s indirect dealer channel from zero, coaching life-science and banking leadership with houses such as Open Water and Arcadia / Si Group, and carrying flagship programmes for The Engagement Partnership with clients including AstraZeneca and Tetra Pak.

At TELUS, Adrian was engaged as AI Specialist in Strategic Operations and took a dealer voice AI programme from concept to live deployment across the channel, alongside enablement and coaching. The through-line is the same: command a room, make the technology serve the work, and leave something the organisation can run.

How the firm shows up

Less theater. More operating reality. We will tell you when a problem is not an AI problem, and stay engaged when the work needs a steady hand past the first win.
